DIY Valentine's Day Gift Idea

My nieces and nephew inspired me to make these cute little sugar hearts (like sugar cubes).  My sister-in-law is so creative and always has them make a special gift for me at Christmas. They made these sugar hearts for me this year.  I thought they would be a perfect gift for my coworkers, my neighbor, and my mom for Valentine's Day!

They're so simple to make! I found a "recipe" on Pinterest.

All you have to do is mix 1 tsp. of water with 1/2 cup of granulated pure cane sugar.  Mix them together until you have a fluffy mixture, kind of like snow.  Next, you press the mixture into small heart candy molds (pictured below).  You can get the molds at a craft store for around $2.00 or less. I put them in the freezer for about 30 minutes, then turned them over onto a cutting board.  I let them sit out for about a day to dry out completely.

I put them in these cute little Ball jars to give as gifts.  Perfect for coffee or tea!

I hope you all receive a heart-shaped something tomorrow! Happy Valentine's Day!
