Homemade Doughnuts

Yesterday I said that "Baked Sprinkle Doughnuts" from Chloe's Kitchen (my new cookbook) were next on my list to make.  Well, here they are!  They were a success!






They are so good, I woke my husband up to try one!  I used Chloe's "Old Fashioned Glaze" recipe and decided they didn't need sprinkles.  I would say their consistency is between Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts.  Krispy Kreme doughnuts are really light and dissolve in your mouth.  Dunkin' Donuts are heavier and cakey.  These are right in the middle!  And the freshly ground nutmeg made them soooo good! 

I like knowing that my doughnuts are free of animal products and are not fatty and deep-fried.  And of course, they're made with love! :)
